Ulmus(elm) — Chinese Elm
Ulmus parvifolia
Medium to large semi evergreen open rounded spreading tree. Its slender branches and trunk have smooth attractive exfoliating bark which shows colours of mottled grey/green to orange/browns. Flowers are small and inconspicuous. Leaves are small dark green, serrated and elliptic to obovate in shape. Chinese Elms are rapidly growing trees which adapt to their surrounds and tolerate a wide pH in soils. This tree looks graceful and provides dappled shade.
Zelkova — Japanese Elm
Zelkova Serrata
Medium sized deciduous 'v' shaped tree with upright spreading branches which form a broad round canopy. Japanese Elms have a multiple trunk covered in grey/white to brown bark. This is smooth and exfoliates in irregular areas to reveal orange underbark. Flowers are greenish/yellow in Spring and are inconspicuous. Its pretty dark green, serrated leaves display wonderful Autumn colours including shades of orange, yellow and reds. Zelkova Serrata's provide good shade. Plant in parks and streets.

Prunus dulcis 'Colbrunni'
A small tree with moderate growth rate. Leaves are dark purple to claret in colour. Flowers are an attractive double crimson blossom in Spring.

A rapidly growing deciduous tree with a large spreading crown. Leaves are green and glossy with fragrant pea like flowers which are white and form in clusters. Flowers late Summer

Saphora japonica
A grafted form of the Japanese Pagoda tree. Grafted between 1.5 to 1.8m high. Seldom flowers.
