Pyrus Nivalis
Nivalis Snow Pear is a deciduous ornamental tree known for its attractive silver green foliage and its curved spreading branches. It can grow up to 8m tall by 6m wide with white cluster flowers throughout Spring. This is an extremely versatile tree growing in a wide variety of soils and temperature conditions. It is suitable for backyards.
Pear - ornamental — Capital
Pyrus calleryana 'Capital'
A beautiful deciduous columnar ornamental pear tree growing 11m x 3m. Has glossy dark green leaves that change through to orange, copper, red and purple during Autumn. Spring will see this tree bursting out with single white flowers. Drought tolerant once established. Able to grow in very hardy conditions, loving full sun. Being the last of the pears to blossom and the last to lose its foliage in Autumn,Capital is great for lining drives, carparks and narrow restricted areas.
Pistachia — Chinese Pistachio
Pistachia chinensis
A small medium sized tree that originates from China. Very hardy and can withstand harsh conditions and poor quality soil. In China the oil from the seeds has been known to be used for Biodiesel production. Grows between 9-15m high. Spectacular dispay of orange pinnate leaves in Autumn
Platanus(plane) — Oriental Plane
Platnus orientalis
An erect branching tree reaching 35m in height with a fast growth rate. Leaves are light green, palmate, deeply divided and lobed. Prefers cool deep soil. Suited to large parks and gardens.
Platanus(plane) — London Plane
Platanus acerifolia
A large tree. If left will grow to a height of 30-50m. The leaves are lobed and approximately 20cm long, dark green on top and lighter beneath. Lobes are not deep like the Oriental Plane. Flowers are very small. Suited to large parks and gardens.
