Acer(maple) — Silver Maple
Acer saccharinum
Large tree up to 40m. Deciduous and rapidly growing with a spreading habit and delicate weeping branches. On long stalks the foliage transforms from light green to pale yellow in Autumn. Small red/green flowers in panicles form in Spring against the smooth silver/grey bark. Silver Maples grow in varying conditions but favour a sunny position.

Acer palmatum
A small deciduous tree forming a rounded head. Makes a lovely dappled shade tree growing 4-6m in height. Good for courtyards. Features green leaves in Spring turning orange/red in Autumn. Likes protection from wind and heat whilst getting established.
Acer(maple) — Purple Sycamore
Acer pseudoplatanus purpureum
A large deciduous tree. In Spring leaves are dark green above and deep purple underneath. A lovely shade tree- its dappled leaves look striking in a breeze!

Acer pseudoplatanus
A large tree growing (12-18m) high. Leaves in Spring are dark green on top and grey/green underneath. Leaves turn to a lighter green then golden yellow in Autumn. Fast growing hardy tree. Self seeds readily.
Acer(maple) — Trident Maple
Acer buergerianum syn.trifidum
A small bushy deciduous tree which grows (3-6m) high. Features attractive three lobed leaves, copper red in Spring - turning green in Summer and brilliant reds in Autumn. Suited to a cool moist position.
