Citrus sinensis 'Newhall USA'
The Newhall orange is a navel variety that is becoming more popular due to its sweet flavour, however, due to its odd shape it is often overlooked.
Maturity: Early maturing. April to July approximately
Citrus — Oro Blanco and/or Sweetie
Citrus paradisi ' Oro Blanco'
Oro Blanco is sometimes known as Sweetie, but it the same product. The Oro Blanco grapefruit is a hybrid between a grapefruit and a pummelo. The fruit is very sweet, much more than other grapefruit. Very few seeds and easy to peel.
Maturity: Spring through to June
Citrus — Verna
Citrus limon ' Verna'
A popular tree grown primarily for the domestic market. The fruit produced is not as juicy as other varieties but is available throughout the year as the tree can crop up to three times during the season.
Maturity: Main crop in Winter, but smaller crops throughout the year
Grape — Italia
Vitis Vinifera 'Italia'
Italia is a popular fragrant grape eaten fresh and suitable for wine. Fruit is large with golden green coloured skin and clear white flesh. Grapes have a mild muscat flavour and mature in February.
Maturity: mid Feb
Grape — Sultana
Vitis Vinifera 'Sultana'
As the name suggests this seedless white grape is popular dried as sultanas! ( also eaten fresh) They are a delicate sweet tasting snack. Maturity is approximately February this vine is self fertile.
Maturity: over summer - Mid Feb
