Pear — Packham Triumph
A reliable tree which grows medium to large sized, oblong, ovate pyriform fruit. Packhams are light green turning yellow on maturity and require high chilling hours. Its melting flesh is crisp and white. Stores up to 170/190 days in coolstore.
Maturity: mid season approximately late February
Pear — Beurre Bosc
Beurre Bosc is a prolific bearer which requires high chilling hours. Fruit matures mid season. Fruit is medium to large, elongated/pyriform russetted brown with a hint of yellow.
Maturity: approximately late February, 3 days after Packham Triumph
Pear — Josephine
Josephine pear holds excellent storage and produces moderate crop loads. Fruit is medium, obovate/pyriform and green/yellow.
Maturity: approximately mid March and 26 days after Packham Triumph
Pear — Winter Nellis
Winter Nellis is a good cropping tree with high chilling requirements. Fruit is small to medium, obovate/pyriform with a brown russett and greenish undercolour. Its white to yellowish flesh is rich, buttery, fine textured and juicy. Winter Nellis stores well.
Maturity: mid to late March approximately 30 days after Packham Triumph
Pear — Red D'Anjou
Pear variety exclusive to ANFIC. Unique, medium round, oblong dark maroon coloured pear. Its lovely smooth white flesh is mildly sweet. Red D'Anjou is known for top storage qualities.
Maturity: approximately late March/April
