Black Tupelo - Nyssa syvatica

A medium sized moderately growing ( 20m to 25m) deciduous tree with a rounded pyramidal habit. Produces extremely attractive Autumn colours ranging from purples to scarlet and yellow. It remains a glossy dark green in other seasons. Flowers are inconspicuous they are white/green and appear in clusters. Prefers moist, well drained slightly acidic soils in full sun. Has shown to be tolerant to wetter and dryer conditions. Wonderful foliage. Spectacular tree for landscaping.
