Smoke Tree - Cotinus coggygria

Multiple branching shrub with an open spreading habit 5-7m tall. Leaves are green rounded to oval shaped and turn a striking purple in Autumn. Flowers are in large inflorescence which elongate into yellow/pink to pinkish/purple feathery plumes producing puffs of smoke in Summer. A spectacular deciduous plant. Needs good drainage. Does well in poor rocky soils.
