Weeping Elm - Ulmus glabra pendula
A grafted weeping tree between 1.5 to 1.8m high with long spreading pendulous branches and a flattened canopy. Its large glossy green leaves turn yellow before falling in Autumn. Plant in sun or partial shade. Prefers rich moist drained soils. Weeping Elm is very adaptable and frost hardy. An attractive addition for small gardens as a feature.

Origin: Pulic variety.

Tree shape: Weeping tree with pendulous long branches with a flattened caopy.
Growth rate: Moderate.
Height: Grafted between 1.5 to 1.8m high.
Leaf shape: 8cm long, elliptic, smooth long acuminate biserrate large green leaves.
Leaf colour: Green leaves which turn yellow in Autumn.
Growing conditions: Enjoys sunny positions but will tolerate part shade. Frost hardy. Prefers moist, rich well drained fertile soil but will adapt to a range of conditions.
