Maturity: Early. December to January.

Fruit size: Small.

Flesh colour: Clear and white.

Seed or stone: Seedless.

Storage period: 3 months frozen. Refrigerated ; 7-10 days.

Plant information

Origin: Grapes are native to the mediteranean and centeral asia. Vitis vinifera grapes were first grown in California.

Status: Public.

Pollinators: Self fertile.

Flower: Small. 5 petals.

Leaf shape: dentate, simple or lobed..

Leaf colour: green / deciduous.

Growing conditions: Plant in winter in an open sunny site with well drained soils. (Sandy loam to clay loam.) Grapes are reasonablly tolerant to salt and water logging. Loves a warm dry summer climate as rain splits fruit and frost damages young growth..

 

Disease: Fungal diseases cause problems in humid areas. (Downy and Powdery Mildew is common.) Others include Botrytis or Grey Mould and Black Spot. Develops zinc deficiency in alkaline soils. Pests include; Birds, Mites, Mealy bugs, weevils, rabbits, snails, Light Brown Apple Moth and Bunch Mite.

Cultivation notes: Propagated as cuttings.
