The most popular orange grown in Australia due to its excellent taste and colour. It can be stored for several months making it perfect for domestic and international export.

Fruit information

Maturity: Mid season. April to August approximately..

Fruit size: Medium to large.

Fruit shape: Round.

Skin: Yellow/orange rind. Deep orange later in the season. Rind is medium/thick easy to peel and pebbled.

Flesh colour: Orange.

Flavour: Rich, sweet flavour, high juice content.

Seed or stone: Seeded.

Storage: Cool store.

Storage period: Long periods.

Pollinators: Self fertile.

Tree shape: Rounded droopy canopy. Evergreen.

Flower: Sweet fragrance, cream coloured.

Height: 10-18 feet.

Width: 10-15 feet.

Leaf shape: Elliptic to ovate.

Leaf colour: Glossy green.

Growing conditions: Full sun. Sensitive to climatic extremes.

 

Disease: Potential for snail and mealybug infestation. Sometimes larval infestation.

Comments: Easily juiced.
