Meyer Lemon - Citrus x meyeri 'Meyer'
The Meyer lemon is popular as an ornamental tree and due to its fruit being sweeter than other lemons. A cross between an orange and lemon, this is a hardy and prolific tree.

Fruit information
Maturity: Matures November to March. Matures throughout the Summer.
Fruit size: 7-12cm long, generally medium sized.
Fruit shape: Nipple at apex. Oval shaped.
Skin: Thin skin, edible. Light orange colour. Dotted oil glands. Quite soft skin.
Flesh colour: Yellow orange.
Texture: Few seeds between 8-12.
Flavour: Sweeter juice than other lemons. Less acidic.
Seed or stone: Seeded.
Storage period: due to the thin skin cannot survive shipping.
Yield: Bumper crops from an early age. Fruits twice a year.

Comments: Well suited to tub growing. Reasonably hardy. The most cold tolerant lemon.
