Fisher Orange - Citrus sinensis 'Fisher'

Sometimes known as Fischer. A navel orange which arose a bud mutation of the Washington Navel. Sometimes preferred over the Washington due to its early maturity.

Fruit information

Maturity: Early maturing. April through to August approximately.

Fruit size: Medium to large.

Fruit shape: Round.

Skin: Finer than Washington. Thin medium rind and slightly pebbled.

Texture: Fruit is internally mature before rind is, juicy.

Flavour: Slightly inferior to Washington.

Seed or stone: Seeded.

Storage: Cold Storage.

Storage period: Several months.

Yield: High early yield.

Status: Public.

Pollinators: Self fertile.

Tree shape: Dense foliage and rounded canopy.

Height: Average 4-6m approximately.

Growing conditions: Like other navels prefers full sun and good drainage.
