Verna Lemon Tree Habit
A popular tree grown primarily for the domestic market. The fruit produced is not as juicy as other varieties but is available throughout the year as the tree can crop up to three times during the season.

Fruit information
Maturity: Main crop in Winter, but smaller crops throughout the year.
Fruit size: Large.
Fruit shape: Prounced nipple. Oval and elongated.
Skin: First crop thick, 2nd and 3rd crops have thinner rind. Intense yellow skin which is coarse and oily.
Flesh colour: Pale yellow.
Texture: Tender pulp and virtually seedless.
Flavour: Less juice then the Eureka.
Seed or stone: Seeded.
Storage period: Up to several months if wrapped and safetly stored.
Yield: Productive trees. Less than Eureka and Fino. Has a continuous supply of lemons.

Growing conditions: Requires sunlight and ventilation. Requires pruning.
Disease: Can suffer blue/green mould, and from pests Red spider mite, scale insect, white fly and green fly.

Comments: Due to rough texture not suitable for export.
