The Nules Clementine is the major clementine Grown in Western Australia. A bud mutation of the Fina clementine, the fruit has good flavour and is sweet. Suited for cooler areas.

Fruit information

Maturity: May onwards.

Fruit size: Slightly smaller than Oroval. 55-70mm approximately.

Fruit shape: Slightly round to flat.

Skin: Easy to peel, smooth and thin.

Flesh colour: Orange.

Texture: Tender flesh with very few seeds.

Flavour: Sweet.

Seed or stone: Shows seedlessness.

Storage: Can be coolstored.

Yield: Heavy yielding.

Status: Public.

Pollinators: Self fertile.

Blossom: Extended blossom period.

Tree shape: Vigorous and large with round shape. Also suitable as an ornamental.

Growth rate: Fast.

Height: Approximately 4 metres.

Growing conditions: Good for tub growing.

 

Cultivation notes: Needs to be regularly pruned.

Harvest notes: Fruit keeps well on the tree. Fruit ripens internally before colour fully develops. Degreening may be required if you want to harvest early.
