Bing Cherry - Prunus avium 'Bing'
A good cropping, heart shaped, dark red mid to late season maturing cherry. Stores well, has luscious firm juicy sweet flesh. Is an all round cherry, excellent fresh and very appetizing cooked. Is susceptable to rain cracking has thin medium stems.

Leaf colour: Dark green foilage. Exellent Autumn colour changing through red, orange and yellow tones.
Growing conditions: Plant cherries in deep well drained fertile soils from gravels to sandy loams with a pH between 6.2 /6.8. Plants prefer full sun and good air circulation which prevents ripe cherries splitting under rainy conditions. Aviod areas prone to strong winds.
Disease: Brown rot, Cherry Leaf Spot and Bacterial Cranker. Parrots may also cause trouble during harvest protect with netting.
