The Navelina is a popular Spanish variety similar to the Washington Navel maturing early in the season, it is well known for its good flavour and easy to peel skin.

Maturity: Early in the season. Approximately April to May.
Fruit size: Medium to large.
Fruit shape: Elongated oval shaped. Tapered navel end.
Skin: Red/orange skin. Smooth rind. Thin and easy to peel.
Flesh colour: Red/orange.
Flavour: Good internal flavour. Medium to high juice content.
Seed or stone: Seeded.
Storage: Cold storage.
Storage period: Long term storage still to be assessed.
Chill: Lower chill requirement for semi arid conditions.
Yield: Uneven fruit shape in young trees.

Comments: A Spanish variety. Little maintenance required.
