A bitter orange from the Mediterranean region grown primarily for making marmalade. The tree is small and aromatic making it ideal for pot growing.

Fruit information
Maturity: January to March approximately.
Fruit size: Medium to large.
Fruit shape: Round - oblate.
Skin: Thick, aromatic bitter peel. Bright reddish/orange skin. Sunken oil glands. Pebbled rind.
Flesh colour: Deep orange/red.
Texture: Many seeds.
Flavour: Tart flavour. Not eaten fresh.
Seed or stone: Seeded.
Storage: This variety is candied or preserved in marmalades.

Pollinators: Self fertile.
Flower: Flower is the source of Nevoli oil. White flower.
Height: Between 3-9 metres approximately.
Growing conditions: Prefers subtropical climates. Needs full sun and good drainage.
Comments: Survives with little or no care. Can stand several degrees of frost. Has 1-3 inch thorns. Evergreen.
