Small heavy cropping tree which requires thinning and is suited to cooler Autumns. Fruit is eaten fresh or can be dried. Wonderful specimen tree as it has magnificent orange/red autumn leaves which drop to reveal the dark orange fruit on a bare tree

Fruit information
Maturity: matures approximately April, before Fuyu.
Fruit size: Medium.
Skin: Dark orange, can bruise easily.
Texture: Soft, juicy, fine.
Flavour: Good.
Chill: Low.
Yield: strong.
Plant information
Origin: Public variety.
Status: PUBLIC.
Pollinators: Self fertile but can use other varieties.
Growing conditions: Prefers full sun and a sheltered position, well drained deep sandy loam or loam soils. Prefers slightly acidic soils and is drought tolerant although it does require good watering over the growing season.
Disease: Suffers from scale, crown gall and dieback. Pests may include light brown apple moth, two spotted mite, mealy bug, fruit fly, thrips and birds.
