Fast growing vine which is also known as a Chinese Gooseberry. Kiwi Fruit produce medium,oval, dull brown /green fruit toward April/ June. Its sweet tarty bright green flesh is soft and contains many edible black seeds. Kiwi fruit have Male and female flowers on separate plants thus it is recommended you purchase one male for every six to seven females. This is a healthy nutritious fruit rich in vitamin c and digestive enzymes. A must for your garden.

Maturity: April/June.

Fruit size: Medium (5-8 cm long, 4.5 to 5.5cm wide).

Fruit shape: Oval.

Skin: Fibrous. Dull green/brown.

Flesh colour: Bright green.

Texture: Soft texture.

Flavour: Sweet tart to acid.

Seed or stone: Seeded.

Storage: refrigerate or freeze.

Storage period: 3 months - in refrigeration store immediately after picking. 3/5 months at 0 degrees.

Harvest notes: Pick during dry sunny weather as the sugars are more concentrated making fruit sweeter. Do not pick during rain.

Comments: To ripen leave at room temperature out of direct sunlight. Fasten ripening by placing in a paper bag with a banana.
