A spontaneous mutation of the Washington Navel, this vigorous tree produces fruit which is able to be left on the tree for several months.

Fruit information
Maturity: July to September. Before Late Lane and after Washington Navel..
Fruit size: Small concealed navel, medium to large fruit.
Fruit shape: Oval/oblong. Smaller than Washington Navel.
Skin: Fine rind and texture thin skin. Harder to peel. Paler than Washington Navel.
Flesh colour: Bright orange.
Texture: Better than Late Lane. Less firm.
Flavour: Less sprightly flavour and juice than Late Lane.
Seed or stone: Seeded.
Storage: Cold store.
Storage period: Approximately 2 months. Can stay on tree longer.
Yield: Can be erratic with light cropping.

Tree shape: Young trees are thorny.
Growth rate: Vigorous and productive.
Height: 4 feet approximately.
Growing conditions: Thrives in subtropical conditions. Like other navels requires full sun and good drainage.
Disease: Fruit susceptible to wind blemish.
Harvest notes: Bearing trees are prone to fruit drop in late Winter. Will stay on tree for months in good conditions.
