Fruit information

Maturity: November to January.

Fruit size: Small 6-12 inches.

Fruit shape: Fruit splits longitudinally at the end like fingers.

Skin: Thick peel, Small amount of acidic flesh. Yellow rind which is highly fragrant.

Flesh colour: Pale yellow.

Texture: Juiceless and seedless. Little flesh.

Flavour: Is mainly used to make zest and to be candied.

Seed or stone: Seedless.

Storage period: Can be stored up to a month if kept cold and clean in a zip lock bag.

Yield: Quite heavy crop in November to January with small fruit throughout the rest of the year.

Flower: white flowers are tinted purplish on the outside. Grows in clusters.

Growing conditions: Sensitive to frost and intense heat. Grows best in temperate conditions.

 

Harvest notes: Holds moderately well on the tree.
