The Seminole tangelo is a popular hybrid of a Bowen grapefruit and Dancy Tangerine. It is mainly grown for its juice production and the ability to produce high crop levels each season.

Fruit information
Maturity: September to November, sometimes as early as July to August.
Fruit size: Large size, 8cm wide and 7cm high.
Fruit shape: Grapefruit shaped, slightly flattish.
Skin: Ripens to a mid orange.Thin and firm rind.
Flesh colour: Deep orange.
Texture: Seedy, 11-13 segments, 20-25 seeds.
Flavour: Rich sweet flavour, similar to grapefruit, quite acidic.
Seed or stone: Seeded.
Storage: Cold storage good for shipping.
Storage period: Up to 3 weeks.
Yield: Heavy cropping and high yielding.
