A medium, light orange self incompatible, firm and juicy good flavoured apricot . Benmore PBR is a selection from the Riwaka series of apricots, which were derived from open pollination progeny of Cluthagold. Available for testing only.Matures approximately -65 days before Fantasia, approximately 1 month after Trevatt,late season in New Zealand

Fruit information

Fruit size: Medium, approximtely 80-90 grams.

Fruit shape: Round, oblong.

Skin: Light orange background with 0-20% red overcolour.

Flesh colour: Orange, tending to be dull, similar to Moorpark.

Texture: Firm, juicy.

Flavour: Good apricot flavour.

Seed or stone: Freestone.

Storage period: up to 3 weeks.

Yield: heavy.

Origin: Riwaka series.

Status: PBR.

PBR: Unauthorised commercial propagation or any sale, conditioning, export, import or stocking of propagating material of this variety is an infringement under the Plant Breeder's Rights Act 1994.

Pollinators: Self in-compatible, pollinators unknown.

Bloom period: flowering at same time as most varieties.

Growth rate: Medium to high vigour.
